Leading European company in the field of electronics and car entertainment is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager who will take on projects related to the VW Group and assume a leading role for projects with new OEM customers. The business has been expanding in the last few years, with new OEM customers coming in each year to further complete an already impressive portfolio of top car makers working with this supplier. This has resulted in record turnover figures and expansion of key departments. Your activities will include:
**Project Planning and Coordination:**
– Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, objectives, and key deliverables.
– Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
– Ensure resources are available and appropriately allocated.
– Manage adjustments to project scope, schedule, and budget.
**Budget and Timeline Management:**
– Monitor project progress and performance using suitable project management tools.
– Communicate project status to senior management.
– Escalate issues when necessary.
– Conduct post-project reviews to identify both successful and unsuccessful elements.
**Team Leadership and Collaboration:**
– Assign project tasks based on team members’ strengths, skills, and experience.
– Build and maintain relationships with third parties and vendors.
– Collaborate with clients to ensure deliverables meet scope and budget requirements.
**Risk Management and Problem Solving:**
– Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks.
– Address challenges and obstacles that arise during project execution.
– Enhance the department’s and organization’s reputation by successfully handling new and unique requests.
**Process Compliance:**
– Ensure development aligns with internal processes (referred to as “PCP”).
– Lead meetings with PCP members throughout the product lifecycle, driving effective problem-solving.
– Proactively seek improvements to the product development process.
Your profile:
– At least 10 years of experience in life-cycle project management within the mid to high-volume products industry, preferably in the automotive sector.
– Proficient in project management concepts, practices, procedures, and tools.
– Strong skills in organization, communication, and leadership.
– Capable of conveying complex situations to senior management.
– Experienced in leading and managing multicultural teams.
– Creative and adaptable in problem-solving.
– Language skills: Fluent in English (both written and verbal); proficiency in a second language, such as German, is a plus.
– Results-driven, analytical, systematic, mature, proactive, passionate, and open to change.
– Willingness to travel occasionally.
