You'll work on exciting topics such as trade regulations, vehicle emissions, CSR, taxation, electric battery regulations, and more. This will give you valuable expertise and further enrich your network within European institutions in Brussels. Some of your responsibilities will include:
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on regulatory developments in Europe affecting trade operations, environmental compliance, and vehicle distribution.
  • Engage with governmental, non-governmental, and industry bodies to gather relevant information and participate in voluntary initiatives.
  • Analyze gathered data to forecast final requirements, recommend actions, and establish compliance timelines.
  • Conduct additional research as necessary, including utilizing external consultants.
  • Provide timely reports to departments in Europe and overseas.
  • Collaborate with industry stakeholders to address concerns and provide feedback on proposed regulations.
  • Resolve unclear points through consultation with other entities.
  • Cultivate and expand the network of contacts in relevant operational areas.
  • Manage external contacts and ensure adherence to reporting milestones and operational goals.
Your profile:
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in engineering, political science, law, or business fields.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in government, industry associations, legal consulting, or NGOs.
  • Knowledge of general business operations, particularly in vehicle technology, product import, and distribution.
  • Familiarity with EU legislative and regulatory procedures, as well as basic understanding of (vehicle) technologies, import/export, and trade operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with government agencies, industry representatives, public interest groups, and related organizations.
  • Strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Cultural sensitivity for effective collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven negotiation skills are required.
  • Excellent command of English is essential, with proficiency in other languages considered a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at an advanced level.

Great opportunity to join a growing Automotive business operating in the field of Infotainment & Electronics. The company is operating globally with sites across Europe, North America and Asia. They have about 4,000 employees and are currently growing in yearly turnover, resources, capabilities and product development and offering. The role involves being globally accountable for designated OEM client(s), focusing on promoting long-term success, developing new business, and building trusting relationships. It requires serving as the primary point of contact for all commercial functions, collaborating internally and externally, and making impactful decisions affecting sales and customer satisfaction. Key areas of accountability include:
  • Relationship Management: Foster technical and commercial partnerships, understand clients' needs, manage interactions, and build customer loyalty.
  • Business Development: Develop new business, lead quotation process, implement sales strategies, and utilize up-selling techniques.
  • Strategy: Draft and implement commercial and marketing strategies, manage pricing and margin, negotiate contracts, and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Road-mapping: Identify client needs, align with R&D, research market trends, and initiate actions based on market intelligence.
  • Account Management: Follow up on client activities, monitor operational aspects, ensure timely delivery, participate in account team meetings, negotiate contracts, track metrics, and document agreements.
The desired profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 3-7 years experience in Automotive B2B Sales with OEM customers. Experience in working with Mercedes-Benz as a customer is a big plus.
  • Proficiency in German and English.
  • Energetic, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of marketing principles.
  • Strategic thinker with a drive for success.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Quick problem analysis and solution generation.
  • Open-minded, customer-driven, and multicultural mindset.
  • Understanding of purchasing, finance, quality, and manufacturing.
